The musical-choreographic performance “Dzuntsi” is presented by actors on the small stage of the Rustaveli National Theater under the direction of Gocha Kapanadze. Giorgi Eristavi, as the greatest public figure and the first Georgian comedian, laid the foundation for critical realism in Georgian literature with his dramaturgy. He was the first to look at reality with his plays, called the outdated by its true name without embellishment and depicted it in realistic faces. With the play “The Miser” he brought the backwardness and frivolity of the high class to the light of day. He created living faces of the nobility on the path of degradation. Through the heroes’ replicas, the author makes it clear in what and where we should look for the cause of their misfortune.
